In a move that could further fuel speculation about a sale of the iconic Jeep brand to a Chinese manufacturer, Jeep has leased the iconic Gladiator from Jeep to a Russian carmaker.

Jeep has agreed to buy Jeep from the Spanish-based Tarkov Group for a total of €4,569m in cash and stock, the company has confirmed.

Jeeps lease will run until 2022 and the sale is expected to close in the coming weeks, Jeep has said.

The move is seen as a significant step towards the sale of Jeep and is likely to raise eyebrows in the industry.

Jeefson, the Jeep owner, is expected by the company to take a significant cut in profits.

However, Jeeps lease does not include a profit sharing agreement that would make the sale profitable, and the company will continue to operate under the Jeep brand.

Jeephos mainstay, the Gladiator, has seen some of its most memorable moments in recent history, including being featured in the 2013 blockbuster Terminator Salvation, the 2008 blockbuster film Gladiator, and 2011’s Gladiator 2.
